THE BAKER
Andrew Berthrong has been baking professionally since apprenticing with James Clawson at Great Harvest in Logan, Utah in 2006. Since then, he's worked with several artisan bakeries including Crumb Brothers Artisan Bread. He's also worked as a bakery consultant, helping bakeries fine-tune their bread and business.
Beyond baking, Andrew has a PhD in English Literature and Creative Writing, and has been a writer and educator for over a decade. He's lived all over the country, but recently settled in Midway, Utah where he opened the bakery, Hawk & Sparrow.
